Muse Necklace

Muse Necklace. Inspired by natural pearls, and how their creation is synonymous with the idea of hardship and change. A pearl is formed when a grain of sand enters the shell of a mollusk and as a defense it coats the sand with fluid. Over several years and many layers, a beautiful shiny pearl is made. I believe that although it may take time, something beautiful and of great value is coming to us all. Each piece, made from our smooth white stoneware clay, are fired with a shiny high fire glaze, and then pearlized. The iridescent finish on the shiny glaze is a pearl luster that is applied and fired for a third time. Available in 14, 16, and 18 inch chains.
